I've been watching a lot of Chuck lately and it's awesome. It's really light hearted and fun in a geeky super agent way and who doesn't love that?

Only thing is, the more I watch it the more I crave fanfic where Chuck is kidnapped and locked up because of being the Intersect of Mighty Doom, preferably by Fulcrum but I'd settle for the CIA or any group. And not the kind of kidnapping where he's rescued by Sarah or Casey or a puppy right away either, but the kind of kidnapping they've been threatening with on the show since the beginning - the kind where he's locked up and never gets to see his family or friends or sunshine ever again for at least a couple of months.

I'm an angst whore, it's true. I figure this is mostly because they keep teasing with that story line and the best thing about fan fiction is that it can go where canon can't ♥

Now all I need to do is find myself some fic. Why is the Chuck fandom so cheery?

Hi, everyone! I'm driving the van for up-and-coming fandom Glee this month, and I thought I'd kick us into gear with a little overview of the fandom. I'm sorry this is late, it's just that this is one fandom that has a lot to cover (Phew...). Now let's get started!


Basically, Glee is amazing. It has me laughing and tearing up every single episode and the musical numbers are catchy as hell. I dare you not to find at least one character you'll fall completely in love with or see yourself in - I love them all. The show is so real, it deals with a lot of the problems we're all faced with and it does so with humor and grace.

Glee first aired its pilot episode in May 2009 and then returned in September the same year with weekly episodes. It’s created by Ryan Murphy (the man behind the hit series Nip/Tuck), Brad Falchuk and Ian Brennan as an edgier show about high school – riding on the wave of such phenomenons as High School Musical and American Idol, it's been described by Murphy as a "post-modern musical".

Glee gained immediate popularity among its viewers. It was nominated for three 2009 Teen Choice awards and received the Diversity Award November 2009.

So, I recced Heroes last month over at crack_van and it was really really fun - I'd recommend it to anyone. And I wanted to do Glee too, but the waiting list for Monthly Fandoms is looooong - except December is Small Fandom Month and I got to go right from reccing Heroes to reccing Glee ♥

These are good times!

The authors and artists over at heroes_bigboom started posting today. Trust me when I say that it's absolutely spectacularly mindblowingly brilliantly amazing work - and the goodies are gonna keep on coming daily until September 20th!

My favourite so far (I know, I know, only one day and two fics in, but still) is nopejr's Wannabes which is an AU from middle of 3x24 - 'I am Sylar'. It's gen and 11000 words golden genius action/angst of a kind we don't see that often. I loved it to a million! The art, by togsos , is gorgeous too.

PANDA ON A PLANE!!!! It's even got a blanket or something! It's so cute! I love how it sits there playing innocently while the guy next to it is all serious fais passenger. Maybe it's not innocent. Maybe it's planning world domination, after all it's A PANDA WHO'S LEARNED HOW TO FLY!!! It's the next step on the evolutionary ladder. Panda!Sylar would so brain it.

Sitting in the sun at 11 PM reading SxL fics after a long day at work? Pure win.

There were so many amazing fics for the Christmas in July exchange -everyone on our comm rocks!
I'm completely overwhelmed by what jaune_chat  wrote for me, it's three fics (all of my prompts!) and they're absolutely stunning. One of the things that impresses me the most about her is the thought she puts into what she writes, it all seems so extremely intelligent and still compelling on the most basic level. I honestly feel intimidated by how talented she is, but in a good way.

I've been working this summer and staying with my family, so basically no time and no privacy. That doesn't change the fact that I'm made of suckage and will have to pull out of the challenge. Me = lame.
I'll still be there as an artist, though.
